Delivering a Production Website for a Real Client
Independent Consulting (Client: Hernandos Quilters Guild)
Situation
Hernandos Quilters Guild (HQG) needed a modern website to replace their outdated one. They needed event management, membership information, gallery displays, and a content management system that non-technical members could update. This was my first real client project through AI Aerial Solutions.
Task
Design, build, and deliver a production website that would serve a real organization with real users, on a real deadline. The site needed to be fast, accessible, easy to update, and professional enough to represent the organization.
Action
Built HQG v4 using a headless WordPress + React 19 architecture with WPGraphQL for the API layer. This gave the client a familiar WordPress admin for content management while delivering a modern, fast frontend. Implemented responsive design, image optimization, event listings, and member resources. Handled the full delivery lifecycle: requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and client training.
Result
Delivered the production site on schedule. The headless architecture means pages load in under a second while the client manages content through WordPress — no code changes needed. This project proved I can deliver end-to-end for real clients, not just build demos.
